I'm Alive. And Still Writing.

Major life crisis, laptop crash and just overall life being a pain has kept me away. I think I went almost two months without writing a word.

It was horrible. To want to write but not being able to wrap your brain around it. I don't deal with stress in a healthy manner and I know that. I just never thought it would keep me from writing.

But I'm writing again.

How are the rest of you doing? I'll be popping around to say hi.

Anyone up for critiquing a sci-fi short story? I'm up for swapping.

Meg, alive and writing :)

  1. Aww, yeah, I've felt that way for a while. Stress from work and studying for GREs has kept me away from enjoying writing for a while and it's hard (and guilt-ridden). Glad you're back (I hope to be soon). I'm always up for critiquing, I love reading other people's work.

  2. Glad to hear you survived! Welcome back. I'm overwhelmed at the moment myself or I'd take you up on the swap offer.

  3. I'll crit it for you. I've nothing to swap at the moment, but I will have in a couple of months.

  4. hey Meg, I'm glad you're alive and kickin' and writing again!

  5. A great way to get back into writing happens next month when NaNoWriMo 2009 starts. If you are serious and have enough time to write 1677 words every day for the 30 days, you can meet NaNoWriMo's goal of 50,000 words and WIN!

(If you can't write 1677 words every day, but can manage 3000 one day, zero the next, a thousand something the third--but you manage 50,000 overall, that counts.)

    Will I see you there?

  6. hey mel...I wanted to let you know about my blog address change. *sigh* If you're following me, my posts now won't show up in your feed, dashboard, sidebar, whatever. So please forgive me, but you'll have to change the address for my main writing blog, Where Romance Meets Therapy, to To do this, you have to "unfollow" me and follow me again. Sorry for the confusion!
