Redecorating

I bought a new matching bathroom set. It's a pretty chocolate brown with this jewel blue accent. Love it. Next I'm redoing the decor in the living room, then finally the bedroom.

This is when I know for sure I'm procrastinating. I like to call it reorganizing my mind. When my house is set and calm, I write with more ease.

Still have yet to figure out how my novel is going to end. First time I've tried writing anything without any sort of idea of how it would end.

It's rather exciting. Not having it all planned out. Maybe the anti-outliners have a point...

Outline or no outline?

  1. Decorating sounds fun--I like the colors!

I outline and then never end up using it, but I'm not published, so don't listen to me!

  2. Oooh, I love decorating!

I know when I'm finding more and more to clean that I'm procrastinating writing...it happens often. :-\

As for outlines, I love them. But sometimes they are just a sentence per potential chapter, and sometimes they are 30 pages long, double-sided for a novel. Big difference...

  3. Settle for in-between. Write a loose outline, just the major plot points. See how that works.

When I'm writing, my house goes to the dust bunnies.

  4. My living room idea is coming together well. Found a store that has all these little cute yet usable knickknacks.

If I get stuck, my house gets tortured with cleaning products. Or if I'm slacking off, I threaten myself with having to clean the toilet if I don't get my butt in gear.

    :D

  5. I never know exactly how my stories will end, although I might have a general idea.
