All Better

The only remaining sign that I was sick for two weeks is the amount of weight I lost.

I'm all better.

Writing progress has been made as well! Not while I was sick, but this morning anyways.

My short story, LIGHT IN THE DARK, is finally moving again. I'll finish it up today for sure. I know I'm in groove as I am procrastinating while mulling over this one sentence.

*crickets chirp*

Figured out that sentence, and the next paragraph. I missed this! I really missed just getting lost in the writing. Feels like it's been forever.

Anything funny ever happen because you were lost in your writing?

Sick

Failing miserably at the posting three times a week. Seems I've been fighting off a nasty bug that finally it's hitting full force.

I may be MIA for a bit, or posting like crazy because I don't have energy to do much else.

Making progress writing-wise. The first Ivory edit is almost done, minus the needed heavy revisions. Those will be fun actually. I just want to finish the first draft of Entry Into Madness before I dive into Ivory again. Fixing mistakes is one thing, rewriting scenes and writing whole new scenes is another.

I don't want to mix up my stories. :D

Do you work on multiple projects at a time?

Gonna try to sleep this off. Laters!

Redecorating

I bought a new matching bathroom set. It's a pretty chocolate brown with this jewel blue accent. Love it. Next I'm redoing the decor in the living room, then finally the bedroom.

This is when I know for sure I'm procrastinating. I like to call it reorganizing my mind. When my house is set and calm, I write with more ease.

Still have yet to figure out how my novel is going to end. First time I've tried writing anything without any sort of idea of how it would end.

It's rather exciting. Not having it all planned out. Maybe the anti-outliners have a point...

Outline or no outline?

Cook's Apple Pie

I used that phrase in my first novel. The character wasn't asking for the apple pie, he was asking for a safe haven.

How do you use food in your writing? If at all?

Progress and Stereotypes

No, I'm not stealing Matt's Mid-Week Update, just happened to want to post my progress on a Wednesday. :D

15 pages down. Yay! Not where I would ideally be, but I'm making progress. I'm still ignoring word count. NaNoWriMo is great and all, but it made me word count obsessed.

Stereotypes bother me, yet I use them and label people with them everyday. In my mind, I've labeled my characters like this: bad guy, bad guy's boss, good guy, good guy's helper, dumb kid and overachiever.

There is much more to each of these characters, I just find it odd that I label them so generically. Does anyone else do that? They have names, yet I only actually use them when writing.

How are you all doing? (Writing-wise, life, daydreams of being on a tropical island with palm trees, a nice sea breeze and a fruity drink in your hand...) Okay so that's my current daydream. :D

LAters!
